We all know that pumpkins are a sign of fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. We all know the iconic look of jack-o-lanterns and pumpkin pies during this season. However did you know that eating pumpkin and pumpkin seeds have great health benefits?

So with the Pumpkin Marathon about to start I think it is a good idea to talk about the healthy benefits of pumpkins.

~Pumpkin contains zea-xanthin with converts into vitamin A inside of the body. It is an anti-oxident that helps prevent age-related macular disease.



~The are high in magnesium which is good for your heart and is a natural relaxant.

~Pumpkin seeds are high in Omega-3s.

~They are an easy to digest protein which will help stabilize your blood sugar which will aid in weight loss.

~The seeds have tryptophan which can help you get a good nights sleep.

~They are high in iron.

~A good source of fiber to keep you regular.

~Pumpkin seeds help level out the bodies pH levels.

~They are high in zinc which is good for your prostate.

~Good source of vitamin K.
