Rosey's Light Puppy Chow Recipe (with comparison to normal Puppy Chow)

So if you have ever eaten Puppy Chow you know just how addicting it is! The other day I was craving Puppy Chow so I made a normal batch and I calculated out the nutritional facts and was floored! There was 428 calories in one cup! So I have come up with a healthier recipe at 313 calories a cup.

Makes 15 cups with 1 cup servings

Ingredients:
1 Box of Rice Chex
1 Cup powdered peanut butter
1/2 Cup water
1/2 Cup Land Lakers light butter with canola oil
12 Oz Nestle's semi sweet chocolate
2 Cups powdered sugar

Also will need a large bowl, paper bag, and wax paper.

Process:
1. Melt the butter and semi sweet chocolate over the stove and stir until combined.
2. Add water and peanut butter to mixture on stove and continue to stir until it it mixed in. (caution: stir slow because water may splash)
3. Pour chex into large bowl and pour butter, chocolate, and peanut butter over the top. Take a spatchula and begin to turn the cereal over so you can move the chocolate with the cereal. Continue until cereal is completely covered.
4. Put 1/2 of the powered sugar in the bottom of the paper bag then pour the cereal mixture over it. Then pour the rest of the powdered sugar and close the bag. Shake the bag until the mix is completely coated in sugar. (The powdered sugar may be absorbed)
5. Spread out wax paper.
6. Pour out the cereal mix onto wax paper to cool.
7. Enjoy!

You can also substitute the Nestle's semi sweet chocolate for my Homemade Nutella for even less calories. (Recipe is under the month of May)

For normal Puppy Chow: 1 Box of Crispix cereal, 1 cup of Skippy peanut butter, 1/2 of salted butter, 12 Oz of Nestle's semi-sweet chocolate, 2 cups of powdered sugar. This recipe makes 16 cups with 1 cup servings.
