Super Bowl Sunday!

I don't know about many of you but I love football and there is no better day then Super Bowl Sunday! But it also means, in my house, constant food during the game so here are a few helpful things I found while surfing the web to make your Super Bowl Sunday more guilt free!

Here is a workout to do during the game which I thought is a great idea. Normally before the game I am in the kitchen helping my mom with the food. So I can still get my Sunday workout in while not missing out on any of the game or commercials!

Now that I got my workout taken care of I needed to find something that I could eat along with everyone else and not have to feel to bad about it or run for a million hours after. For me on game day I like nothing better then chips. They can be with all kinds of dips or covered in cheese. They are my favorite. However they are so easy to mindlessly eat and calories (especially with dip) add up fast! So I found a recipe for Supreme Nachos at only 207 calories a serving!

Prep Time: 25 minutes

Bake Time: 15 minutes

Serves: 12

Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onions
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1oz package taco seasonings mix
2/3 cup water
7 ounces reduced-fat tortilla chips, about 100 chips (I suggest buying fresh tortillas and baking your own for less fat!)
1 (15oz) can of black beans, rinsed and drained
1 fresh green chili, diced
1 1/4 cup salsa (what ever brand you prefer but I suggest making your own!)
1 1/2 cup reduced-fat cheddar cheese, shredded
6 tablespoons fat-free sour cream (or greek yogurt for even less calories)
Tabasco Sauce

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. In a large pan cook ground beef with onions and garlic until meat is browned. Stir frequently. Pout cooked meat into a colander in the sink to drain off excess fat. Put meat back into the pan.
3. Add taco seasoning, water and mix. Bring to a boil. Then turn heat down and let simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
4. Place the tortilla chips evenly on a large oven proof serving plate coated with a little cooking spray.
5. Top the chips with the ground beef mixture. Sprinkle beans evenly over meat. Next spoon over beans the chilies and then the salsa. Then sprinkle cheese.
6. Then bake in preheated (350 degrees) oven for 15-20 minutes. Or until the cheese is melted and the nachos are hot.
7. Final touch! Add the fat-free sour cream, or greek yogurt, and a little more salsa on top and serve at once!

So no matter which Harbaugh for are screaming for to win Super Bowl XLVII there are always ways to be healthier! With that I will leave you with one last tip. You can't have a football game without beer so I suggest trying a Miller 64 or a Budweiser 55 for way lower calories.
